I heard that it’s possible to get a different vaccine for the booster shot than for the first injection. Is that true?
Based on appropriate medical advice, the option of changing vaccines to an off-label use can be offered in individual cases, i.e. if severe side effects occurred after the first vaccination that justify using another vaccine for the second dose, or if a change is urgently desirable from the point of view of the person to be vaccinated. Medical certificates are no longer required for this, but the ultimate responsibility lies with the informing physician.
