Vaccination Plan

The Austrian Vaccination Plan recommends free-of-charge vaccinations and vaccinations subject to payment of a fee.

Important:

  • Make sure that your child starts getting vaccinated now!
  • Make sure that your child catches up on missed vaccinations as soon as possible!

Where can my child get vaccinated?

This is a list of all doctor’s surgeries (by district) offering free-of-charge vaccinations under the child vaccination programme. Download the list in PDF format

Important:
Series of vaccinations that have already been started can be completed up to the 15th birthday of the child unless they are free of charge only for a specific age group.

 

Vaccinations subject to payment of a fee for children up to 6 years of age

  • Vaccination against meningococcal meningitis B, starting in the 3rd month of life
  • Vaccination against meningococcal disease C, recommended start after the 1st birthday (it is possible to give the vaccine from the 3rd month of life)
  • Vaccination against TBE (tick-borne encephalitis), starting after the 1st birthday
  • Vaccination against varicella (chickenpox), recommended start after the 1st birthday (it is possible to give the vaccine from the 10th month of life)
  • Vaccination against hepatitis A, starting after the 1st birthday

 

Where can my child get these vaccinations?

  • At doctor’s surgeries
  • At the “Impfservice Town Town” vaccination centre operated by the Public Health Services (all vaccinations specified above with the exception of those against meningococcal meningitis B and varicella, for children aged 1 year and older)
