Free vaccinations for children under 6

For children from birth up to their sixth birthday

  • Vaccination against the rotavirus, 2 or 3-part vaccinations, starting at the age of 7 weeks – the series of vaccinations must be completed by the age of six months.
  • 3-part vaccination, starting at 3 months pneumococcus (for all children up to the age of 2 and for children with special circumstances up to the age of 5), 3-part vaccination, starting at 3 months
  • Vaccination with 1 vaccine against 3 diseases (combined vaccine):
    Measles
    Mumps
    Rubella
    2-part vaccination, starting at 10 months

Where can I get the vaccinations?

Important: Series of vaccinations which have already been started can be completed up to the age of 15 unless they are only free of charge for a certain age group.

Vaccinations subject to a charge for children up to the age of 6

  • Vaccination against meningococcus B, starting at the age of 3 months
  • Vaccination against influenza, starting at the age of 7 months
  • Vaccination against meningococcus C, recommended start directly after the first birthday (it is possible to use the vaccine from 3 months)
  • Vaccination against TBE (tick-borne encephalitis), starting at the age of 1
  • Vaccination against varicella, recommended to start directly after the first birthday (use of this vaccine is possible from 10 months on)
  • Vaccination against hepatitis A, starting at the age of 1
