Questions about the Corona vaccination Pre-registration/registration

Pre-registration for Corona vaccination

How can I pre-register for a Corona vaccination?

A pre-registration can be made free of charge here or by calling 1450.

Can I already pre-register? Can you check if I am pre-registered?

Yes, a pre-registration can be made free of charge here or by calling 1450 and will also be confirmed at this number.

I belong to a professional group but also to the risk group, what should I choose?

The risk group.

I am part of a system-critical infrastructure – how can I pre-register?

If your company is considered a critical infrastructure company, you will be contacted separately and will not be required to register on your own.

What is the pre-registration for?

The pre-registration ensures the allocation to a prioritisation group but is not yet an appointment. The pre-registered persons will be notified electronically or by telephone – depending on their membership in the prioritisation group – as soon as a personal vaccination appointment can be made.

What is the waiting list for?

If, in addition to your pre-registration, you also have yourself placed on the waiting list by means of a tick, you can be contacted at short notice if vaccine doses are available depending on the prioritisation in the Vienna Vaccination Plan. If you are unable to take advantage of this opportunity, both your pre-registration and your spot on the waiting list will remain valid, and you will be contacted at the next opportunity.

Will I get a confirmation for my pre-registration for the Corona vaccination?

Yes, you will receive a confirmation.

What happens after the pre-registration. What are the next steps?

The pre-registered persons will be notified electronically or by telephone – depending on their membership in the prioritisation group – as soon as a personal vaccination appointment can be made.

How do I get to my immunisation appointment?

You can currently pre-register for a Corona vaccination here. However, this is not yet an actual appointment. For a specific vaccination appointment, you will be informed separately via the contact you have indicated.

I would like to cancel my pre-registration.

If you have pre-registered, enter your vaccination service account via the portal and click on “No” in the “My profile” section under “Pre-registration for Corona vaccination”. You have cancelled your pre-registration. You will not receive confirmation by email/SMS or phone after being removed from the pre-registration list. However, your vaccination service account will still be available for vaccination bookings.

If you have pre-registered by phone at 1450, please once again contact a staff member at 1450. They will be happy to change your data for you.

Would you like to change your profile data?

If you wish to change the data of your pre-registration (e.g.: vaccination group, new telephone number), enter via your profile, make the change in the “My profile” area, and click on “Save data” at the bottom of the page. Your data will then be updated. No further confirmation is required.

Which professional group is informed directly by their respective organisation?

Please inform yourself about the current Vienna Vaccination Plan (phase distribution).

I do not see my name in the occupational group/person selection. Is there a reason for this?

Some occupational groups (system-critical infrastructure such as emergency services, mobile care, employees of educational institutions) will be informed by their institutions when they can be vaccinated. If you are in doubt, please indicate “General pre-registration – not belonging to any group”.

Can I pre-register more than one person for the Corona vaccination?

Yes, up to 4 additional persons can be registered by telephone free of charge under 1450 as well as here provided that a valid telephone number or email address is given as contact for all persons entered under this pre-registration.

I belong to the high-risk group. Where can I register to be pre-registered in Phase 1?

Select the high-risk group in the pre-registration form or call 1450. Please bring your medical certificate with you to the vaccination.

I have several diseases (high risk). Why can I indicate only one?

To be ranked in the 1st phase, one illness is enough.

My disease (high-risk) is not listed. What should I indicate?

Please indicate “other serious illness”, and bring your doctor’s certificate to the vaccination.

I have an operation/chemotherapy coming up. According to my doctor, I should be vaccinated beforehand. How can I get an appointment quickly?

This is an exceptional case. Please register by email at cov19.impfung@ma15.wien.gv.at.

I want to get pregnant and should be vaccinated beforehand. How do I get an appointment quickly?

Unfortunately, a desire to have children does not establish a priority in the vaccination plan (i.e. you cannot be pre-ranked).

I have to go abroad on business/private and would like to be vaccinated beforehand.

Unfortunately, this does not justify a priority in the vaccination plan.

Documentation and vaccination certificate

The Corona vaccination is recorded not only in the yellow vaccination certificate but also in the e-vaccination certificate.

Will I get a confirmation that I have been vaccinated? How is the vaccination documented?

The vaccination is confirmed in your vaccination certificate by means of a stamp and electronically in the e-vaccination certificate.

Do I have to take my vaccination certificate with me to the Corona vaccination?

Yes, please take the yellow vaccination certificate with you for the Corona vaccination because this is the only valid international vaccination document to date (Source: Austrian Medical Association, 2 February 2021).

I don’t have a vaccination certificate. Can I get one on site?

Yes, these are available at the vaccination sites.

Can I opt out of the e-vaccination certificate?

No, that is not provided for by law. The Health Telematics Act 2012 defines the use of the e-vaccination passport as a significant public interest. The purpose is to have an Austria-wide vaccination register in order to be able to observe the incidence of infection and the immunisation rate.

I have de-registered from ELGA. Is the one entry in the e-vaccination passport therefore a problem?

There is no connection between an ELGA de-registration and the e-vaccination passport (source: Austrian Medical Association, 2 February 2021). Your vaccination is automatically entered into the e-vaccination passport.
